#BOOKTRAILER OF THE QUEEN BY TIFFANY REISZ IN COLLABORATION WITH COLLECTOR OF BOOK BOYFRIENDS & GIRLFRIENDS

In collaboration with my dearest friend Angelica, from Collector Of Book Boyfriends & Girlfriends, we’ve made a fan book trailer for the last book of the Original Sinners series The Queen.

Queen Colab #20

It was a great experience taking part in the making of this trailer. When Angie suggested that we work together on the project, I was thrilled!  (I’m a big fan of hers and her blog, Collector of Book Boyfriends and Girlfriends)  With my graphics in combination with some quotes from The Queen – spoiler free & expertly chosen by Angie– and Rihanna’s amazing song: As Real As You And Me (buy here), we created the marvelous video below.

HOPE YOU ALL ENJOY!

If you loved it, let us know below!

Also… If you are near Portland, you can go to The Queen’s Release Party at Jan’s Paperbacks Book Store on November 13, 2015 – from 6-9pm. Or you can order your signed copies at JansPaperbacks.com

So here I go…My Secret Life…

1. How long have you been a blogger?

I’ve been blogging for a little over 5 years now. When I first started blogging it was for other people, small and large businesses. Although that kind of blogging pays some bills, it’s really fucking boring. That’s when I decided to start my own blog two years ago. Because I still write for others, small and large businesses, I have to keep this blog (my passion blog) under a pseudonym. But I must say, all my close friends ( AKA sexy kittens) know who I am.

When deciding what I wanted to blog about personally, I took many things into consideration. I love fashion and cocktails but my real love is reading Mommy Porn AKA naughty lit like romance, smut, and erotica.

I know mommy porn isn’t usually considered true literature and I’ve read plenty of real literature—English Lit Major right here!!!— but I love it so much. It fulfills me! And, if you think about it, anything that gets us mommies (yes I’m a mother too) revved-up other than a clean house and a full fridge could be considered mommy porn.

2. At what point do you think you’ll stop blogging?

Probably never. It’s a cathartic creative outlet for me. I love talking shit about books—even if nobody reads it.

3. What is the best thing about blogging?

I have to copy Angelica on this answer and say making FRIENDS and meeting like-minded people. That’s my first answer. My second is that I can say what I want about what I want. Also, blogs are slightly extremely narcissistic. They’re all ME! ME! ME! and for a person who gives all of themselves to 4 people day-in-day-out it’s nice to have a thing that’s just mine.

Full Disclaimer: I originally started this blog with a friend, but she was impossibly bad at writing…anything. She can write. She just refused to.

4. What is the worst thing? What do you do to make it ok?

Hmm. The worst thing would be my lack of time. I just wish I had more time to blog. Now, when I’m reading, I highlight as I go. That way, I have text to pull from when I’m drafting a post. It’s a huge time saver and motivator to write.

5. How long does it take me to create/find pictures to use?

4-fucking-EVER! I’m super picky about my photos and I edit the shit out of them before I actually use them. My style is unique so I have to stay as true to my aesthetic as possible. Also, if there is a fan following I try to use the images that the fans like.

My biggest enemy during the creative process is variety. I hate to use the same photo twice, so I’ll troll and collect photos for hours/days/months. Good thing I have the huge gig-ed iPhone. I’d really like to experiment more with video…but alas, that would take time. GAG.

6. Who is your book crush?

My latest crush is Prince Damen (Damianos) of Akielos (son and heir to Theomedes): He’s so endearing and hot and I’d love to roll in the sheets with him.

7. What author would you like to have on your blog?

Anne Rice, Tiffany Reisz, and C.S. Pacat.  Hanging with these Queens would be bananas!

8. What do you wear when you write your blog posts?

Pajamas. I write either early in the morning or late at night. Not very sexy, but comfy!

9. How do you feel about the book blogger community?

I love my community. Everyone that I’ve had the pleasure of chatting with has been really cool. I look forward to making more blogger friends. Maybe I’ll even go to a conference or something!

10. What do you think one should do to have a successful blog?

I think authenticity is the most important thing. Voice is so important and without a unique authentic voice bloggers just get lost in the shuffle. I also think that us bloggers need to get ourselves known in the communities in which we want to belong. Example: If you want to write about erotica, find erotica forums to member and post in. Same goes with all the others. It’s easy.  Just be respectful and friendly.

Also, being gracious and admirable to the authors won’t hurt either! They love the admiration. Just try not to be stalky. Stalky is never good.
